Locks and Lights
For better use of our bikes, see our guide and video on locks and lights, and our general recommendations to avoid punctures and chain slippage.
Main lock and chain (rear wheel)
- When the lock is open you cannot remove the key. Key stays in place while lock is open and you are biking.
- Before closing, verify that the valve is not in padlocks way.
- Turn the key and remove the chain
- Attach the chain to a fixed object and place it back on the already closed padlock
- Turn the key again and close the tire padlock
Recommendations on how to use the chain for the AXA lock
Tie the chain to a fixed object on the side where the lock key is, pass the chain through the bike frame, if possible, pass it through twice to have a shorter chain.
Front and rear light
Turning on the light with the diname
- Pull the dynamo slightly towards you until it stops, you will feel a click.
- Make a pinch movement putting one finger on the dynamo and the other on the metal.
- Dynamo downs by itself. No need to force it.
Dyname shutdown
Pull the dynamo slightly towards you until it stops, you will feel a click.
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
- To avoid flat tires, DON’T go down slopes (e.g., sidewalks) while on the bike.
- To prevent chain issues, shift gears ONLY while pedaling forward
